KARIBU! (WELCOME!)

TAKE A VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP TO

TANZANIA

Jambo! Travel with me and my husband Scott to Zanzibar and explore the beaches, bazaars, spice plantations and the Jozani National Forest Reserve. From the island of Zanzibar we'll travel to mainland Tanzania where we'll first visit Arusha National Park and Tarangire National Park. We should see elephants, baboons, lions, leopards and cheetahs. Then we'll move on to Lake Manyara and the hippos and giraffes. Next we'll travel over rough roads to the Ngorongoro Crater seeing flamingos and Cape buffalo. We'll stop by Olduvai Gorge to see where the Leakeys made their famous discoveries and then, hopefully, we'll witness the annual migration of the wildebeest along the Serengeti.

There are five diagonal stripes on the flag of Tanzania. The green stripe stands for the land, the black stripe stands for the people, the blue stripe stands for the sea, and the two gold stripes stand for the mineral wealth.
