Reviewer Comments (Technology Profile/Support Features:
Harcourt: Had to have CD in each drive to run games, etc. Tests CD was networkable.
Houghton: Appears to be add on without direct correlation ... several programs (Sunburst, EZ Street, Math Keys &/or Math Steps)
McGraw-Hill: Some CDs say for Windows, others say for Windows & Mac. More than one teacher/class can be inputted with information but only one can be opened at a time. Icon easily loads on the desktop. Support materials in Teacher's Guide is one page that provides an Internet site and how Math Tool Chest (Concept Development) and Math Traveler (Practice) can support the lesson. There is a Technology Link located within each chapter that includes "Technology Tools" to provide additional student support.
Prentice Algebra 1: has so many features it can be overwhelming for the novice technology teacher, but great for intermediate/advanced level technology teacher. Gives no instruction on installation or system requirements except on Student Tutorial Skills/Intervention Kit. No tech support within the textbook but is in the lesson planner plus booklet. Gives no information on network options or multiple distribution options.
Sadlier: No software is included with this program. The 4-6 has optional technology related components per year per grade level. The optional activities require programs such as Basic, Logo, spreadsheet, database & flowchart. The activities are loosely connected to the math program and are not connected to state standards.

Reviewer Comments (Instructional Features):
Harcourt: Do you get all 3 CDs with Harcourt? If so, the set covered many bases. The student test system was efficient. Kept track, provided reports. Intuitive use.
Houghton: Reviewed Sunburst Data Explorer and Grapher only. Limited use for a few lessons only.
McDougal: Skill and drill ... no flash, no sound ... Just worksheets, multiple choice questions. Teacher's electronic presentations are "beautiful" PowerPoint presentations on some lessons ... Limitation ... Would need projector to show class
McGraw-Hill: Math journal offers writing and drawing tools (fun!) where students can explain their answers mathematically while explaining or justifying. Students who are reluctant to use a pencil and paper journal should respond more readily. Teachers print additional practice, center cards and "problem of the day" in PDF format.
Sadlier: No supportive instructional features included.
Saxon: No troubleshooting. For teachers only. No student computer interaction. Provides worksheets and tests. Will create and print an unlimited number of versions of weekly tests.
