School Library Planning
Interested in updating your library? Library Media Teacher, Andrea Fiske, will come to your school and help you analyze your collection, discuss weeding, and help develop a plan for space management. There is no charge for this service.
A Preview of Fabulous Databases
Join in this hands-on opportunity to evaluate many of the fabulous electronic reference tools available at special discounted pricing, in our Buying and License guide. Most databases are networkable school wide and are Internet accessible to extend research to students at home.
This workshop can be brought to any school lab with an Internet connection. There is no charge for this workshop.
Professional Development for Library Personnel
Monthly workshops are planned for library personnel. These workshops include titles such as Best Books of the Year, Book Mending, Weeding and Feeding Your Collection and Information Literacy in the Library. Check our calendar for upcoming workshops. There is a nominal fee for most workshops.
Author Symposiums
Three authors and/or illustrators will make visits to local area schools and will appear at evening events for teachers, librarians, and families. Books can be purchased and autographed. Check our calendar for upcoming dates. There is a nominal fee for the symposiums.
