Handheld Computers: A Helping Hand for Everyone
Workshop 1: Introduction to basic skills with handhelds using the OS Operating System. Understand the place and benefits of handheld computers in the continuum of computer technology. Tour the basic features of the Palm handheld computer.
Workshop 2: Learn more advanced "tips and tricks" for Palm handheld computers.
Workshop 3: Explore the capabilities of handheld computers and software for supporting teaching and learning in the classroom and administration.
- Classroom management basics (navigation, phone book and input options)
- Advanced application (calendar, notes, attaching, and synching)
- Lesson planning options, project based learning options and assessment options
This hands-on workshop is intended for any educator interesting in applying the tools available in handhelds to their classroom. Each workshop session is three hours in length or all three workshops can be combined into one six hour session.
